The latest release version is OpenRTM-aist-1.0.0-RELEASE.

Source and binary packages for Linux and Windows are available from here. Current versions for each language are:

The Windows installer package available from the link to the right includes all of the libraries, dependencies and tools required to try the example components. Have fun!

Windows installer updated (ver.2010.2.12): The problem on which the RTSystemEditor does not work properly with non-administrator account on Windows Vista/7 has been solved. The problem that the omniidl that is necessary at the development time does not work properly has been solved. Please download and perform upgrade install with the newest version OpenRTM-aist-1.0.0-RELEASE_vc9(or8)_100212.msi.

RTCBuilder・RTSystemEditor 1.0.0 released Edit

RTCBuilder and RTSystemEditor are a part of the robot software platform, Open RT Platform (OpenRTP), for developing robot systems. They allow the easy creation of RT Components and RT Systems. OpenRTP is based on OpenRTM-aist, and these tools are developed as part of the NEDO Developing Intelligent Technology for Next-Generation Robots Project.

AIST press relese "A residential model for disabled persons which supports self-sustained living is shown" Edit

We have shown a residential model for disabled persons which supports self-sustained living by utilizing RT-Middleware technology.

  • Welfare devices cooperate each other through common network platform (based on RT-Middleware) in the residential model
  • It is possible to realize customizable living environment for disability persons by integrating through RT-Middleware.
  • Self-sustained living of disabled person is supported, and a disabled person's social participation promotion and reduction of care worker's incidence are expected.

ROS transport support released Edit

  • A patch has been released providing communication between ROS nodes and OpenRTM-aist.
  • A new port type is used to communicate over ROS topics.
  • The ROS transport method can be used between OpenRTM-aist components.
  • Full native support - no wrappers.
  • ROS services are also supported.
